BAiR Emerging 2018
Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) Emerging is an immersive program of studio practice, creative exploration, feedback and mentorship for artists in the early stages of their careers. The program combines the artistic freedom of a self-directed residency with the supportive benefits of an organized program.
Emerging Atlantic Artist Residency
This program provides one emerging visual artist from Atlantic Canada the opportunity to create new work within the inspiring surrounds of Banff Centre over a period of eight weeks.
Indigenous Preparatorial Practicum
The Walter Phillips Gallery Indigenous Preparatorial Practicum program enables the participant to engage in hands-on opportunities working alongside the gallery’s curator and preparator.
Printmaking Studio Practicum
Studio Practicum programs are opportunities that expand and enhance participants' technical skills, and increase knowledge in the various mediums supported by the Visual + Digital Arts area.
Sculpture Studio Practicum
Studio Practicum programs are opportunities that expand and enhance participants' technical skills, and increase knowledge in the various mediums supported by the Visual + Digital Arts department.
This program will explore Indigenous architecture, art, and the knowledge inherent in traditional design methodologies and materials. It is open to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous participants.
Independent Residency - November 2017
In this Independent Residency, be surrounded by a community of artistic peers, attend inspiring talks and performances by world-renowned visiting artists, and enjoy a spectacular mountain environment where you can engage or seek retreat.
Big Bang Residency Program
