Join WPG Exhibition Coordinator Katarina Veljovic for Full Moon Book Club, an evening of reading and discussing together the works in the current Walter Phillips Gallery exhibition, Impulses. Diverging from a traditional book club style, curated poetry and short stories read aloud, will elucidate upon the works in the exhibition.

This month’s selection of readings takes inspiration from Takao Tanabe’s Rocky Mountains (1979), a simple lithograph print depicting the mountains at night. On the theme of ‘night’ and its dark edges the Full Moon Book Club will read poetry and short stories by authors Kathy Acker, Margaret Atwood, JG Ballard, Italo Calvino, Maggie Nelson, Claudia Rankine, Leanne Simpson, Ocean Vuong, Virginia Woolf, among others.

The book club takes place on the three full moons during the exhibition: Sunday, March 12; Tuesday, April 11; Thursday, May 11
